Information about the wooden palace garden and left a famous scientist A. Gildenshtedt, who in 1774 together with the Russian scientific expedition visited the village Khomutets.

In the early 19 century. inherited the estate was famous Russian educator, diplomat, translator, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a descendant of the hetman D. Apostol - IM Muraviev-Apostol. Following the resignation of Ivan Muravyov-Apostol Khomutets he moved to the village, where the revived and streamlined family estate. His sons - Matthew, Hippolytus and Sergey were active participants in the Decembrist movement.

The two-storey central part of the palace, the U-shaped connecting passages with side wings, forms a U-shape. On the part of the park facade placed terrace-balcony with stairs that led to the pond with islands. The park is 77 hectares.

In 1824-1825 gg. Homutetskom held in the palace of the meeting of the Decembrists, which attracts famous supporters of the conspiracy brothers Mouravieff-Apostol - P. Pestel, M. Lorer, Bestuzhev-Ryumin and other Decembrists, as evidenced by a plaque with the traditional profiles of the Decembrists (1975). After the death of the owner of the manor estate passed to his youngest son Vladimir Muravyov-Apostol.
Since 1920 the palace housed the manor agroprofshkola, and from 1930 - College pig, who in 1933 became the veterinary and zoo technical school.

Today, hidden in the middle of the park Decembrists manor located on the territory of a veterinary college. The main palace building is in disrepair. It is as if closed, but the doors and windows of certain places anymore. Broken and dying manor just disappears.
