Basilica Fridiano - the Catholic Church, which was built in the Romanesque style and is named in honor of St. Fridiana. It is located on the same square in the Italian city of Lucca. The temple was built in the 6th century on the orders of the local bishop Fridiana and originally bore the name of the Spanish martyr Vincent Zaragoza (Saragossa di San Vincenzo). But after the death of Bishop Fridiana and placing his relics in the church, she began to wear the name of San Vincenzo and Fridiano. Today, the relics of the saint are kept in the main altar of the church.

Lombards somewhat modified and extended its basilica, organizing community here Augustinian monks. In the first half of the 12th century, the church acquired its present form. A little later, in the 13-14 th centuries, the façade decorated with mosaics in the Byzantine style with the image of Christ and the apostles of work Berlingieri Berlingieri, later - built a small chapel with various scenes from the life of the saints.

Inside the Basilica of San Fridiano, preserved early Christian layout, carved from white marble, and in the center you can see the Romanesque baptismal font of the 12th century Fonte Lyustrale depicting biblical stories from the life of Moses. Near the altar is another font, younger - 15th century. From the sights of the church can be called Chapel of St. Zita, with its relics, a chapel with Trent polyptych, depicting the Virgin and Child, and the Chapel of the Holy Cross with frescoes by Amico Aspertini depicting Saints Augustine and Ubaldo Fridiano.
