Photo: Santa Justa Lift
Santa Justa Lift (Lift has called Do Carmo) connects the vertical upper and lower town. It was built in the early twentieth century by the French architect Raoul Messne du Ponsard, a disciple of the famous architect Eiffel.
Filigree patterns adorn the pillars lift, made of cast iron. Two cabins are moving up and down, each designed for 25 people. At the top of the ski lift is a cafe with a magnificent view of Lisbon and its suburbs.
