Maritime Museum - is the pride of Kotor, there is a rich maritime history of the Black Sea coast and the Bay of Boka Kotoroskogo. Is a museum in the old building, which was previously (in the XVIII century) was Grgurinskim Palace. He belonged to the family Grgurina, which was very well known here. The architecture of the building belongs to the late Baroque.

The museum expositions are varied and will be of interest to all who care about the maritime history, not only in Montenegro, but also the whole world.

At the front door of the museum offers visitors a look at the two weapons of XVIII century - they relate to the period when the city is actively attacked by pirates. In the museum you can also see 6 prints, made from bronze and illustrate the greatest historical events. Among these events: the siege of the Algerian Bey Cairo ed-Din, which was carried out with the help of Selim, the Turkish Emperor (also known as Barbarossa or "Red Beard").

In addition to the general historical exhibits in the museum, you can see the ship's logs, see the models of various ships and all kinds of sailboats. Also here are stored the remains of ships, shipboard furniture, marine accessories, compasses, flags and, of course, portraits of famous captains. Archive Museum cherishes a copy of the charter of the sea Bay of Kotor.
