House Rebrov Kislovodsk - is the oldest building in the city, located near the source of mineral water. The house was built in 1823 in the classical style by one of the first historians of the Caucasus AF Rebrov - participant of the Caucasian wars, as well as the faithful companion of the famous Russian General AP Yermolov. The author of this project was made by architect I. Bernardazzi. AF Rebrov played a great role in the history of the Caucasian resorts.
At the time, except for Alexander Pushkin (1829), in this house we stayed Russian writer Mikhail Lermontov (1837) and the Emperor Alexander II (1850). His fame has acquired the building after the publication of the famous novel "Hero of Our Time." Decorated with wooden pillars two-storey wooden house Rebrov its elegance attracted the attention of all the guests of Kislovodsk. In 1912 the house Rebrov has stored personal items Lermontov: a card table, a sofa and a dressing table. At this point, sofa and table included in the museum exposition.
Near the estate landowner Rebrov, located at the Cross Mountain, 1804 to a river Olkhovka. It was here in the old days, according to legend, it was the source of mineral water, where the ribs erected a chapel, preserved to this day.
