Exaltation of the Cross Church in Kislovodsk is a unique structure of its kind in the entire country. This is practically the only temple, whose construction began in the Soviet Union and not recreated on the site of the old destroyed. The temple was built in the 80s of the 20th century and dedicated to the celebration of the millennium since the baptism of Rus.

Construction of the temple was led about. Limanowa Sergius, who spoke and as an architect. In 1987 the church was consecrated by Archbishop Anthony (Zavgorodniy). With his active assistance still managed to complete the construction of the temple, as many party organizations opposed it. He also gave the church the golden crosses and vestments to the throne, which are still kept in the church as one of the relics. The temple has three altars - central, consecrated in honor of the Exaltation of the Cross, and the two sides, which are dedicated to St. Nicholas saints and martyrs, and Panteleimon. The painting of the temple for the past ten years the artist spent in Moscow - Nikolay Bureichenko. The iconostasis created Novosibirsk masters.

Exaltation of the Cross Church in Kislovodsk is one of the largest and most visited temples of the city, where services are held regularly. Many parishioners come from other cities to touch the main shrine of the temple - the miraculous icon of the Mother of God, Saint Nicholas, and the miraculous icon of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon and relics. At the temple is the baptismal Church of St Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena.
