Garrison church, which is now consecrated by the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the Queen of Poland, was formerly the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas. It is located near the center of Kielce, in the area between the streets and Karchevskovskoy Hetsinskoy. The temple was built in 1902-1904 years on the initiative of the city authorities in response to the construction in 1901 of the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Cross. To Orthodox Kielce did not feel deprived, they also had to build a church. As an example, for the construction of the new church was made by St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg. The Orthodox Church of the Blessed Virgin Marie - Queen of Poland was the second such sacred objects on the territory of Kielce, so it made the garrison. This temple was intended primarily for the soldiers of the Sixth Infantry Regiment, which was housed in barracks close to the 70-ies of the XIX century.

Architect Stanislav Shpakovsky decided to build a church in the Byzantine style. Its shape it resembles a Greek cross, its nave is topped by a large dome. Entrance to the church is through the lobby, which is located in the bell tower, adjacent to the church on the west side. The building of the church at the same time holds up to 900 people.

The church has 80 windows, its terracotta floors. Pearls high iconostasis considered copies of icons stored in the Vladimir Cathedral in Kiev. In a niche there is the fresco depicting scenes of Golgotha. Its author is considered one of the soldiers who attended this church. By the way, he also painted the dome and the space above the main altar of St. Nicholas. The side altar is an icon of the Mother of God "Sign", written in Novgorod.

In 1925, the church passed to the garrison of the Polish Army. From that moment it began to be performed CRS.
