Orthodox Church of Mother of God "Perishing" is in the city of Kharkov, in the park at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and the streets of Culture, not far from the monument to soldiers-internationalists who died in Afghanistan. The temple was built in 2006 in memory of the soldiers participating, who died in local wars. The initiator of the construction of this church was the Kharkiv Regional Union of Afghan Veterans.
