Military-historical museum of the Far Eastern Military District is located on the bank of the Amur river in the old building is an architectural monument. The museum building was built in 1907. The author of the project was made colonel Vladimir G. Moore.

Until 1930, this building was the State Bank. Once it housed the military establishment. During the Japanese war in the walls of this building was the headquarters of the Second Far Eastern Front, as evidenced by the fortified plaque, which is dedicated to Marshal Vasilevsky.
