At the site of the former grain market in the historic city of Jáchymov, which are known to be divided into district hospitals and the historic areas of the city, there is a chapel of St. Anne, built in classical style.
A small building of the temple, the hallowed name of the mother of the Virgin, was originally made of wood. It was built in 1517. Very few wooden buildings survived fires and medieval attack enemy armies, and reached to the present day unchanged. Could not this chapel in Jáchymov. It burned a few times, but it stubbornly rebuilt. The first devastating fire occurred in 1642. Stone building on the site of the wooden church appeared much later - at the end of the XVIII century. Five years after the completion of the chapel was closed. Forgotten by all, she stood until 1803, when the city government have contributed to its rededication.
During the fire of March 31, 1873 the chapel of St. Anne burned almost completely from her was only a skeleton. High domed roof that once covered the temple has not been restored so far. Of course, the chapel is not left without a roof, which is periodically changed and subjected to reconstruction, but it is nothing like the majestic roof of the past centuries. The latter is currently a serious reconstruction of the chapel of St. Anne was held between 1976 and 1993.
In terms of the chapel is a rectangle of 12x9 m with beveled corners. Above the entrance is placed a small bell tower with a domed roof.
