Imatra Art Museum was opened in 1951. and it is one of the first of its kind: the museum is located in a rural building of the Cultural Center.
The museum contains more than 1,400 works, some of which belongs to the city, and the second part - Imatra Art Society. The main part of the collection given to the works of Finnish artists of XX century. In addition, it presents the work of international artists of XIX century., As well as prints of Japanese masters of XVII century. Absolutely all of the exhibits have a high cultural value.
