City Dobruška consists of 8 districts, only one of which is historical. You can come here for a few hours to see all the major sights. So often Dobruška include weekend tours and combine it with a visit to the neighboring settlements, such as Nove Mesto nad Metuji.

City Dobruška, which is now home to about 7 thousand people, was established well before its first mention in historical chronicles. On it there is an entry in the record book, indicating that the Dobruška allowed to produce and sell beer. It is dated 1320 year.

The settlement in the northeast of the Czech Republic appeared on the intersection of ancient trade routes. Citizens quickly realized the advantages of the location of the city, so built a living room at home, restaurants - in short, did everything to itinerant merchants wanted to stay here longer. At the time, and was organized by the central area, around which the city was built.

Dobruška gradually developed, expanded, so the XVI century, she met a large and populous city, which employs several factories for the production of textiles. Wealthy industrialists did not forget about the city, invested money in it, have contributed to its prosperity.

If you look at modern Dobruška bird's-eye view, you can see the extended area, which overlooks the main building of the city - the Town Hall, built in the Renaissance style. Its interiors are kept very valuable paintings by local artist Frantisek Kupka, who became a world celebrity. The building adjoins the town hall tower with an open viewing platform at the top. It is decorated with a big clock.

In the main square adjacent to the town hall is located plague column, glorifying Heaven for deliverance from the plague.

In the old town you can also see the church of St. Wenceslas, built in the years 1709-1724, and the Church of the Holy Spirit.
