Dudhsagar Waterfall is located on the reserve Bhagwan Mahavir, which is located in the state of Goa, about 60 kilometers from the administrative center of North Goa - Panaji. Dudhsagar among the hundred of the highest waterfalls in the world, and is one of the most important attractions of Goa. It is a multilevel system with a total length of about 603 meters and a height of 310 meters.

This natural wonder has been called Dudhsagar which literally translates as "ocean of milk", because of the color of the water, which seems to milky white. According to legend, in the jungle waterfall is located on the site of the palace, where she was a princess. She loved to swim in the lake nearby, and after swimming drank sweet milk from a golden pitcher. One day while swimming, the princess saw that through the trees watching her man, and wanting to hide her body from prying eyes, she poured milk into the water beside her. To this day, milky-white spray of the waterfall called Dudhsagar remind people about the modesty of princess.

To reach the waterfall, you can use train, bus or taxi, but this transport can be reached only to the reserve. A further way through thickets and streams have to overcome any off-road vehicle or on foot. But no difficulty can not stop wanting to enjoy the beauty of this fabulous waterfall.

The most opportune time to visit the Dudhsagar waterfall - this winter. Then neither heat nor the monsoon rains that fall during the period from June to September, will not prevent all experience the charm of the place.
