Fortress Fujairah - is one of the main historical attractions of the emirate of Fujairah. Fort is located in the heart of the ancient city, on a hill not far from the road Castle Road.

Fortress is a huge castle, built in 1670 according to historical records, at the time of construction it was the only stone building on the coast. The total area of the fort is about 610 sq.km. Impregnable Fortress has repeatedly helped the local population to fend off attacks from neighboring tribes and attack the English army. Today, the fort is the oldest military construction in the UAE.

Fortress Fujairah - a three-storey buildings, connected by a high wall. Buildings were built in the shape of a cone. The upper part of the structure is decorated with pyramidal towers that were previously performed functions outposts and hideouts during the shooting.

Only in 1991 was a complete reconstruction of the fort, after which there was placed a museum with a huge number of archeological finds.
