Photo: Exchange and Hauptwache
First City Exchange was founded by local merchants in 1558. The current building was built in 1879, designed by Henry Oscar Sommer Burnittsa and Neo-Renaissance. Since 1957, the building is used for its intended purpose and is open to visitors.
Hauptwache building was built in 1730 as a guardhouse. Later the building was used as a prison. Since 1904 Hauptwache - chic cafes and popular meeting place for residents and guests.
