Dresden Palace Church was built in 1738-55 by the Italian architect Cayetano Chiaveri, she was given the status of a cathedral in 1980. After the devastating bombing of the allied forces in 1945, all the interior of the church was burned, collapsed vault. After the war, the church was completely restored.
The appearance of the cathedral is impressive: numerous balustrades and niches decorated with 78 stone figures. The interior is also very nice. Attention should be paid to the Department of Rococo organ, altar decorations. In the cathedral crypt with four 49 sarcophagi, here is buried the heart of "Augustus the Strong" (his body was buried in Krakow). In addition, since 1709 at the Dresden court church there is a boys' choir, often touring around the world.
