Light and music fountain is one of the attractions of the city of Cherkasy and daily during the warm season attracts not only the residents but also visitors to the city. It is located in the city center, on the Boulevard Shevchenko, near the building of the regional administration.

Fountain at this place was built many years ago, but eventually fell into neglect. And only in 2008 the city authorities have allocated funds for the restoration of the fountain. At the same time it has been modernized - it became light and music. Today enjoy the magnificent play of light, music and water can all attend. Especially solemn and festive looks fountain in the evening when the multicolored lights in combination with the soft music of the classical tune fountain allow new faces.

Interestingly, the city hall at the opening of the fountain has announced that all coins that locals and visitors will be thrown into the fountain (according to tradition - to return to this place again), will be used for the purchase of musical instruments for local children's music school. And at the moment, according to the management of the utility, which provides services to light and music fountain, has managed to collect fines on several accordions.
