Sankt Veit an der Glan - Austrian town, located in the region of Carinthia, is the capital of the district of the same nazvaniem.Samye earliest evidence of settlements on the territory of the municipality is a fragment of the wall of a medieval building. According to legend, the foundation of the city was preceded by a battle against the Hungarians in the 901 year. Duke Bernhard Spanhayn (1202-1256) built a castle in the village of St. Vitus, which was described in the documents as a fort. Since 1205 the village began to mint coins.
