Roma Street Parklands is located on 16 acres in the heart of Brisbane, not far from the urban transit station and the railway station Roma Street, where to park can be reached on foot.

Local Aborigines for thousands of years have used the area as a place of meetings and ceremonies. In 1825, the park Roma Street became part of the original settlement of Brisbane, and already in 1875 the street Roma Street station was built a major railway linking Brisbane to Ipswich and Toowoomba. Soon, the station became the main warehouse in the city, and from 1911 to 1934 along with the surrounding territories are regularly refurbished to maintain the trade flow. In 1991, because of the growing mechanization of transport and handling, and the use of multi-ton containers, warehouse functions were transferred to the area of Acacia Ridge. In 2000, on the former site of the station began construction of the park, in the territory which was included Albert Park. In April 2001, a new park was opened to the public.
Today, the park is an open-air amphitheater, which was previously known as the Albert Park Amphitheater.
