Pedra Pintada - is an archaeological site and the rock formation, which is located in the state of Roraima, 140 km from the state capital city of Boa Vista, in the Indian reserve of San Marcos. Translated from the Portuguese language it means "painted stone".

At the height of the rock is 35 meters and about 83 meters above sea level. In this rock archaeologists cave was discovered with the remains of the famous rock art, fragments of pottery, dyes, stone axes, tools made of rock crystal, the bones of small animals and fish, seeds, and many other minerals objects that testify to stay here settlements of primitive people. Found pictures of people, animals and characters were made in white and pink. It is because of them and gave the name of "painted stone".
