Historical Museum in the town of Batak was founded in 1956. To the museum complex is the building of the museum and the historic church of St. Weeks and museum-houses with Balinova and balls.

House Museum Balinova №3 is the subject of the historical museum, added to architectural and cultural monuments of the country. The building was built around 1895. From 1918 to 1944 he lived here Secretary of the Working Youth Union and member of the Communist resistance against German occupation Trendafil Balin. Since 1968, the house was converted into a museum here today presented ethnographic exhibition: everyday life, customs and traditional way of life of the Bulgarians the late XIX - early XX centuries. In the courtyard of the building exposed to the only surviving furnace that was undeveloped in the yard.

House-Museum of balls which is also part of the museum complex, is the gallery "Boris Sharov," but there are no permanent displays. House Museum opened to the public only at the time of exposure of temporary exhibitions.
