Absheron National Park - is one of the natural attractions of Azerbaijan. It is located on the territory of Azizbekskogo area. The park was created in 2005 on the basis of Absheron State Sanctuary. The main goal of its foundation was to keep living on the territory of waterfowl, gazelles and Caspian seals.

Currently, the system of natural protected areas of the republic has five national parks, thirteen state nature reserves, about twenty state reserves, whose total area is about 593, 1 thousand. Ha. With regard to the area of ​​the Absheron National Park, it covers 783 hectares and its boundaries usual huge number of mammals and a variety of waterfowl.

On the territory of Absheron Park you can find gazelles, jackals, foxes, badgers, hares, and in the waters of the Caspian Sea - seals and fish. The birds live here - wheezing swan, gull silver, black and gray duck Red Heads, sand sandpiper, marsh harrier and many other migratory birds. A unique bird national park is marsh harrier. This bird prefers to prey on smaller birds and fish, as well as a variety of amphibians, which is why their nests marsh harrier recoiling on wetland areas, overgrown with reeds and rushes.

A lot of animals and birds living in the land of Absheron National Park was listed in the Red Book of Azerbaijan.
