Museum and Cultural Center "House of merchant Tetyushinova" is located in the city of Astrakhan and is the only surviving to the present day model of wooden architecture of the XIX century in the Lower Volga. Its opening took place in August 2010.

The museum is housed in a wooden mansion on the street Communist. The building was erected in the classic "Russian style" provincial mansions and a two-story wooden structure with a stone foundation and the attic. Along the perimeter of the house built wide gallery, the facade is richly decorated with carvings. The house belonged to the family Tetyushinovyh - successful businessmen and merchants. The head of the family - Tetyushinov Gregory (1830-1894) was an honorary citizen of the city of Astrakhan.

Visiting the museum and cultural center, you can better understand the way of life and the life of a merchant family of the time. Guests are invited to visit one of the two major tours - "Visiting merchant family" and "From a merchant to merchant." In addition, the museum plays an important educational role: on the basis of its various programs designed to acquaint the younger generation with the traditions and customs of the Astrakhan region. So, there are cycles of an interactive museum activities, museum programs on the traditional celebration of the Slavs, courses for honeymooners and more. On the basis of the museum regularly hosts various exhibitions.
