House Casa del Moral - manor house, built in 1730 and rebuilt after several earthquakes in 1784 and 1868, where they lived a few aristocratic families of the city of Arequipa. At present, the building belongs to the IMF BancoSur.

This well-preserved colonial house is one example of baroque architecture of the XVIII century the city of Arequipa and is named after an old mulberry tree "moras", growing in the middle of the front yard. The facade is made of cut stone, carved over the entrance to the two angels, crown on the coat of arms of the castle, a bird, a puma and two crossed keys. On the side of the main facade are beautiful carved windows.

The double doors of the main entrance of the mansion decorated nails with a lock gate and a key made of bronze. Passing along the wide hallway, visitors enter the main courtyard quadrangular. The pavement of the yard is made of hewn stone and boulders in Arabic style and resembles a chessboard. As in all colonial houses of the XVIII century, the mansion has three courtyards: the front yard is painted in ocher, its public space open to the public. Blue courtyard was for private use, with the entrance to the kitchen and dining room. And the third courtyard - the servants and animals, as well as horses.

Visitors to the house-museum of the Casa del Moral can see a large room for receiving guests, a room for women, a dining room, a bedroom, a room for talks, a library and two large rooms, which houses a collection of paintings. The hall, which connects the first and second courtyard called "hall of old maps of America." It contains a valuable collection of antique prints and maps drawn up by renowned cartographers XVI and XVII centuries. The library contains more than 3,000 volumes, primarily of Latin American literature.

The recent restoration of the La Casa del Moral was carried out with financial assistance from the British consul in Arequipa.
