Museum of Fine Arts is located in Alicante, in the palace that once belonged to Count Lyumiaresu. The palace was built in the 18th century, in the period between 1748 and 1808 years. This building is known as the Gravina Palace.

In 1998, at the Palace of Gravina were initiated restoration and reconstruction work, which lasted until 2001. Today, the palace houses the Museum of Fine Arts, presenting visitors the amazing collection of paintings and sculptures. The museum came into being 14 December 2001.

The museum has a large collection of paintings, numbering 500 works of various artists, mostly natives of Alicante and the surrounding area since the 16th century to the early 20th century. Here are works by such prominent artists like Vicente Lopez portals (portrait of Ferdinand IV), Antonio Gisbert Joaquin Agrosot Lorenzo Casanova and Fernando Cabrera, the sculptor Salzillo and others. Each of the works presented in the relevant thematic categories - portrait, still life, landscape, social motives, religious, intellectual and other art. In addition, the museum has a collection of furniture of various periods, textiles, household items and home furnishings.

The museum is equipped with modern multimedia devices, through which viewers can enjoy watching audio-visual presentations.

The museum hosts a variety of educational programs, organize seminars, as well as providing support and development of young talents.
