Maksimirsky Park is a beautiful green area in the city, with an area of ​​18 hectares. This Park is recognized as the largest urban park, it is often referred to as a "living monument to Zagreb." In the park you can see numerous flower gardens, avenues, lakes and forest areas. Zagreb Zoo is also located in the park.

The founder of the park is Maksimirskogo Bishop Maximilian Vrhovac, the park got its name it after him. The date of foundation of the park is Maksimirskogo 1794. The project developed an English park landscape designer Brown.
