In the village of Voschazhnikovo Borisoglebskii district of the Yaroslavl region is a temple consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin. Initially, the village in the 17th century, the church acted after the Nativity, which was built of wood and had five small domes. At the end of the 17th century it was replaced by a similar, but built of stone and equipped with wooden scaly head; the church was a tiny belfry, standing on stone supporting pillars. At the end of 1700 in the southern part of the Christmas Temple built of stone Trinity church, which was renovated in 1797.

At the beginning of 1782 at Sheremetyevo PB built the existing church today Nativity of the Virgin, which had two spacious floors. The lower chapel was warm and sanctified in the name of Great Martyr Paraskeva.

Church of the Nativity is one of a small number of monuments of Yaroslavl region, which at the time were built in the style of a modern for those times baroque .  The temple consists of exposed along one axis of the central temple, the semi-circular altar, refectory room, porch, and the porch .  All volumes of the church, except only the porch, presented two-storey .  Located on two floors premises overlap in using codes .  Summer church hipped ends coated with several oval window openings; Wedding carried five bulbous cupolas located on octagonal drums .  All drums are deaf, excluding only the center, which is made light .  Above the porch, covered a bunk small bell tower, which is crowned by a cupola .  On two floors, the surface of the wall with the help of a member of the pilasters, and above them held raskrepovan cornice, which is decorated with a pretty large croutons .  In the summer there are two rows of windows temple bushel treated pair raskrepovan eaves, with one of them completes a semicircular pediment . 

Exterior decoration of the temple is designed so that it seems as if a three-story temple. Winter and summer church artfully decorated with various largest window openings with different trims: the church in the summer, they are equipped with luchkovatymi gables, and in winter - with a locking interception. The decoration of the church of the Nativity of the Virgin built on the contrast of the laconic and low winter temple premises, as well as soaring and surprisingly light summer church where services are held twice a year only on major holidays.

Between 1791 and 1794 year-old church was painted team of serf masters Sheremetiev H . P .  It is important to note that all paintings are extraordinarily decorative, black and white figures and pathetic theatrical gestures .  Some scenes may be regarded as parts of a unified picture, in this case, in the Drawing frame that mimic a wooden surface, put some pictures .  Basically, the temple has seven tiers filled with pictures .  A large number of stamps dedicated to the earthly life and deeds of Jesus Christ .  On the wall the West there are 14 stamps related to the earthly life of the prophets, and the Apocalypse of the Holy Trinity .  In light drum can see the Almighty, but the "Beatitudes" are located in the light window openings .  At the end of the altar, there are the "Seven Sacraments" and "The New Testament Trinity", located in the oval medallions .  In the church, there are images of archangels, rising above the altar on the slopes window openings .  On one of the walls of the altar depicts "The Passion of the Christ" .  Summary of the refectory and the western wall of the room occupied by one of the outstanding tracks "Last Judgment," when hellhole swarming terrible devils malicious green Satan and the human soul is under the scales equipped peasant a basket . 

To date, the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin preserved icons, located in the iconostasis and dating from the 18th century. The winter church iconostasis is unfortunately not survived. In 1890 the temple was again renovated painting. Currently undergoing restoration.
