Lakatnitskie cliffs are sheer cliffs, reaching in some places 250 meters and resembles a hand, bent at the elbow. Rocks are on dissecans ridge of Stara Panina Iskar Gorge (on its left slope) at the railway station Lakatnik. The bizarre rock formations due to their composition, which consists of sandstone and limestone, weathered over time. Some of the rocks resemble the peaks and towers, and some are like mushrooms or pyramid.
