Museum of folk architecture and way of life of children's creativity is located in picturesque corner of Slobodian, in the village of charming Slavonic district of Donetsk region. In 1992, the museum of folk architecture, lifestyle and children's creativity was given the status of a state. The museum is a branch of the Donetsk Regional Art Museum.

Its existence Slavic Museum began back in 1983. The initiator of its creation was the AI ​​Shevchenko - local historian, artist, teacher and organizer of the children's art studio "Blue Bird". Gathered a group of enthusiasts and students, he carried out ethnographic expedition, during which they collected artifacts, folk tales, songs, and also revealed the monuments of folk architecture. The exhibits for the museum collected from all around - from the villages of Sidorovo, Lighthouses, Brigadirovka and windmill, which is almost 200 years old, was brought from Kharkov region.
