Shower Terseyros Church was built in the years 1746-1763 in the Baroque style. Architect Antonio Coutinho Mendes, who erected the temple, was a disciple and follower of the famous Italian architect and painter Nicolas Nasoni, who built a lot of buildings in Portugal, among them - the church Clérigos in Porto and the Episcopal Palace.

Shower Terseyros church built in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, so it is also called the Church of showers Terseyros de San Francisco. By the church is the longest monumental staircase. The outer walls are decorated with frescoes on the bottom, which depict scenes of St. Francis. On top there is a small tower with a bell. The presence of the bell tower is typical of the baroque church architecture.

On the facade of the building - the bottom two large windows, and above them - a small round window that architecture called "window-eyes." The main entrance of the church is in the form of a gate above and artfully decorated with embossed pattern grooves. Entrance to the church is crowned heraldic shield and curved pediment.

The church has one nave in a rectangular shape, the ceiling is made of a cylindrical dome. Home Chapel church - octagonal roof is dome-shaped and covered with bricks. It draws attention to the beautiful chapel zaaltarny image Rococo, made of gold, in a carved wooden decoration. Inside the walls of the church are decorated with panels of tiles azulezush white and blue, showing scenes from the life of St. Francis of Assisi. There is a body that is decorated with two angels playing instruments.
