Dyatlovo palace and park ensemble was built for the noblest princes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Radziwill family in 1751 on the site of a wooden castle-fortress of the XVI century, which during the Great Northern War was a camp of Russian troops led by the tsar Peter I. The fortress could not hold the Russian army, it stormed the Swedes, then looted and burned.
Lock for the Radziwill family was built on the ashes of the famed castle. Subsequently, a luxurious residence surrounded by gardens and parks, increased farm buildings, which contained the prince's good servants lived.
After the Radziwill family castle belonged to Marshal Stanislaw Soltani, who is being left out of the national liberation of the Polish uprising in 1830. All property of the rebels passed the Russian treasury. In particular, the treasury and transferred to the seat of Soltanov Dyatlovo.
In the years of Nazi occupation in Dyatlovsky castle was organized Jewish ghetto.
After the war, the building of the castle was restored and transferred to physicians. More than 70 years there was a dental clinic. Few of the modern generation dyatlovtsev knows that this is a small building, bleached usual whitewash, was once a luxurious palace of the powerful Polish princes.
Most recently, the building of the palace was declared a historical and cultural value. Now in the palace are the restoration works, after which it is planned to open in the Palace Museum of Local History, which will move into the residence of the Radziwill family and Soltanov from the premises of the museum, which has become impossible to store and display all of the exhibits.
