Angelic bridge was built in the 19th century. He was thrown across the street Elks, which runs along the valley between the slopes of the hill Domberg. On the bridge there is an inscription "Otium reficit vires» («Rest restores power"), which entices you to relax and gain strength in the old park on the hill. Bridge "Inglisild" built on the site of a temporary bridge in the years 1814-1816.

The architect of the project was I. Krause. In 1913, he underwent extensive renovations angelic bridge. Then, on the side facing the park posted bas first rector of the University of Tartu, created by sculptor Wetter-Rosenthal.
