Shidlovetskaya Hall - the building of the City Hall, located in the center of a typical medieval town square. City Hall in late Renaissance style was built in 1602-1629 years and is considered one of the most impressive monuments of Polish architecture. Silhouette of the building resembles a town hall in Sandomierz, but acknowledged more grandiose construction. Front of the main facade of the building is a pillory, which dates back to the first half of the seventeenth century and is a unique monument in the city.

For the design and construction of the building has been transformed by the architect Casper Fodiga. Funds for the construction of the Town Hall started to collect more in 1599, and after three years of donations construction work began. The rectangular building housed a prison, which finished basements. Hall of the City Council was on the floor above. Arched roof windows were broken only in the nineteenth century.

In 1809, the town with the Town Hall was devastated by the Austrians, after which the city administration has decided to demolish the building and build a new town hall, surrounded by shops and shopping malls. This plan, however, remained unfulfilled. The building was renovated.

Today the Town Hall is the seat of the mayor and the city administration. In addition, there is an office of the state Department of Civil Affairs. In the basement cafe.
