Compound Trinity Stefano Ulyanovsk monastery is located in Syktyvkar, Babushkin Street, 20. The building was constructed in 1882-1889, respectively. It is a historical and cultural monument, protected by the state. This information is available on a board mounted on the building in 2006.

According to legend, the formation of the monastery is associated with the activity of St. Stephen, Bishop of Perm (the end of the XIV century). In 1996 the building was transferred to the Podvorja use, and in 2000 - in the property, established a year earlier of Syktyvkar and Vorkuta Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (ROC). At present, there is Diocesan Administration ROC, houses the temple of Christ and the Trinity Compound Ulyanovsk-Stefanovskaya male monastery. In 2008 it started reconstruction of the building. This was made possible thanks to funds allocated from the budget of the Republic of Komi.
