Castle Lednice, which is part of the Lednice-Valtice complex, which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage, is located 7 km from the Chateau Valtice. These two palaces which belonged to the genus Liechtenstein, connects a broad linden alley. Although the village of Lednice, which got its name from flowing in these lands cold river diyah, became the possession of the Lichtenstein much earlier than the nearby Valdice, local castle, founded in the XIII century and is constantly being rebuilt, it was the only place for summer holidays representatives of this family, then Valtice both acted as their favorite residence.

A visit to the castle Lednice, surrounded by parks and gardens, like the most demanding tourists thanks largely to its unique location. The castle stands on the border of three countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.

Back in 1222 in Lednice castle was built, which in those days was called Aysgrub. Its present name - the name of the village where it is located, - the palace was only in the XV century. Its modern look manor received in the XVIII century, when for its reconstruction was invited by Viennese architect Georg Vingelmyuller. His imagination and talent should be grateful for the graceful towers and numerous arches that adorn the palace Lednice. Under his leadership, it was created by a large English park, where at every turn of the path meets a gazebo, a monument or even a minaret 60 meters high. Successfully entered into the composition of the garden Janow Grad castle ruins, which have been specially created near the palace Lednice.
