On the west coast the Greek island of Skopelos lies the small resort town of Elios, also known as Neo Klima. It is located in a wonderfully picturesque setting among thick pine woods about 18-19 km from the capital of the island of the same name.
Elios - quite a young town, built only in 1981. Once in 1965 as a result of a strong earthquake destroyed the village Klima, most of its inhabitants were left homeless and were forced to leave their homes. Subsequently, much of the population settled in destroyed Klima Elios. Actually, hence, the title three times Elios - Neo Klima, which translated literally means "New Climate".
Today, Elios - one of the most popular resort towns of the island of Skopelos. Stunning natural landscapes, crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea and well developed tourist infrastructure every year attract Elios growing number of holidaymakers.
