Parish Church of St. George is located on the island of St. George in the old town of Lovran. The bell tower was originally built separately from the church, but in the XVII century, they were joined. The temple was built in the XIII century in Romanesque style, then rebuilt in the XV century in the Gothic style. In the XVIII century the church has grown - it was added two chapels in the Baroque style.

In 1470 and in 1479's two internal walls were painted with beautiful frescoes in the late Gothic style. Artist Kastavska decorated the ceiling and walls in the upper part of the scenes from the life of Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints and angels painted. A wall in the lower part of the church was painted by the master sample of Istria: scenes of torture of St. George, on the scene of the Annunciation and the Eucharistic theme.

The side chapels in the Baroque style were added a little later, so that together with the church nave were a single space. Also in the church there are carved wooden altars XVI and XVII centuries, and the inscription of the XVII century.
