On Konstantinovskaya Street (now Sovetskaya) in the late eighteenth century was the building of the Evangelical Lutheran Consistory, engaged in by settlers from Europe, professing the Protestant faith.

In Soviet times, the building housed various offices and outbuildings, and premises for a long time and to this day the city is hosting a water utility service. Well-preserved building of the Trading House Ertov now occupies one of the political parties.
