Museum of military equipment in the city of Rostov-on-Don is located on the territory of the protected nature reserve "Mukhin bar." The museum was opened in 1998 on the basis of the empty spare item North Caucasus District (SCWO), built in the 60s. XX century. the Soviet government in the event of a third world war. SCWO is a multiple series of underground tunnels and corridors, intersecting tight steel doors that form the so-called catacombs. Even with a nuclear strike these tunnels would serve as the most reliable shelter.
