Koskinou - a picturesque holiday village on the eastern coast of the island of Rhodes. It is located approximately 7 km from the eponymous capital of the island, and 8 km from the popular resort of Faliraki. It is believed that the name of the village comes from the Greek word «koskino», which means "sieve", the production of which used to be and is the main occupation of the local residents.

Koskinou can be divided into two parts - the old town located some distance from the coast (about 2-2, 5 km), and a new waterfront district. Koskinou tourist infrastructure is concentrated mainly in the modern part of the settlement. Here are many fine hotels and luxury apartments.

The historic center of Koskinou is the authentic Greek village with a maze of narrow cobbled streets, ancient churches and traditional houses surrounded by flowers with colorful facades and ceramic ornaments. Attractions Koskinou is worth mentioning the so-called "traditional house", an ancient interior which perfectly illustrates the life and culture of the area. In the central square it is a very beautiful church, built in 1873 and deserves special attention. Famous for Koskinou and many cozy restaurants and taverns, where you can relax and enjoy the excellent cuisine and excellent wine.

In Koskinou has an excellent well-maintained sandy beach, equipped with parasols and sun loungers. On the beach you will also find some good tavernas and snack bars. Excellent opportunity offers Koskinou and fans of water sports.
