Palace Butrimovich was founded on Sept. 9, 1784. At the ceremony of laying the first stone was attended by the King Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The palace was built by architect K. Shildhauza next 10 years. It was built in a mixture of styles of classicism and baroque.

The first owner of the palace was a prominent social and political figure Polesie Mateusz Butrimovich. He was a true patriot of his native land, he was actively involved in the reclamation of wetlands and the construction of canals, open Pinsk international port. Mateusz Butrimovich outfitted spring 1784 "Polissya flotilla", which sailed through Warsaw to Europe to present there products of native woodland.

Subsequently Butrimovich palace owned by three eminent kind of Polissya: Butrimovich, Horde and Skirmunt. Among them were talented sculptors, painters, writers and historians. In the XIX century here he lived and worked the famous painter, musician, teacher, composer Napoleon Orda. Last owner of the palace was Constance Skirmunt, which managed to convey a picture of Napoleon Orda Museum in Krakow, which saved the painting from destruction during the great fire in the palace in 1901.

In Soviet times, the palace was given to the needs of Pinsk Pioneer and a children's cinema.

In 2009, at the Palais des Butrimovich it has been an extensive restoration work. Currently it opened here wedding palace. Now the couple Pinsk can be combined legal marriage in romantic interiors of the Palace of Polissya nobles.
