Perth Bell Tower - the very symbol of the capital of Western Australia, one of the most beautiful places in Perth. The name of the bell tower, located on the docks at Berrak Street in the city center, can be translated as "Swan Tower." Built in 1999-2001, the high peaked Tower - 82, 5 meters - resembles a two enormous sails. Inside - 18 bells, the majority of which - 12 - has a long history, they were brought from London. There is evidence that they were prepared in 14 century! The ringing of these bells marked many historic events: the victory of England over the Spanish Armada in 1588, the return of Captain Cook's voyage around the world in 1771, a victory at El Alamein in 1942, the coronation of the kings of England, since 1727. In 1988 the bell arrived in Perth to celebrate the bicentenary of Australia. Already there are 6 cast bells. This is one of the largest in the world of musical instruments.

The bell tower houses a collection of vintage watches, optical instruments and bells, including the rare Asiatic, which tells the story of how people kept time to the onset of the digital age. Here you can watch a film about the construction of the bell tower and its history, and at the same time listen to the bell ringers to see - to make it enables AV system translates the images from different floors of the tower on 9 screens. In the evening, one of the main attractions of Perth illuminated with rainbow colors with the new computerized lighting system. / p & gt;
