Heřmanův Městec - a small but very nice and cozy town near Chrudim - received its name in honor of the founder - some Gerzhmana Lichtenburg, who was charged with the development of land around the castle Lichnice. The city was founded on a strategic location - on the road on which constantly cruised merchant convoys.
