Mining Museum is located at the mountain Landeck in a small village in the vicinity of Ostrava Petrshkovitsy - the capital of the Moravian-Silesian region. Now it is a protected area and before then conducted intensive mining of black coal. Historical Gallery, it was decided not to close, and arrange them in a museum. The oldest mine was based on the slope of Landeck in the XVIII century. Its name - "Anselm" - known to all lovers of informative exhibits.

After visiting the mines of tourists waiting for the wonderful trails of the reserve route in search of a place where archaeologists found a small statuette of hematite, later called Landetskoy Venus. This sculpture the size of 46 mm several tens of thousands of years, it is preserved in the archaeological collection of Brno. Other similar statues in Europe has not been found, so it is unique. Especially interesting to see with their own eyes the place of its discovery.
