Greek Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin can be considered one of the most famous places of worship, tourist attraction, the pearl of Mukachevo, which is part of its rich architectural heritage.

The church was built in the 19th century thanks to the initiative of the famous scientist B. Dovgovicha Transcarpathia. The temple was not only the spiritual abode for Catholics, but also the magnificent decoration of the city. Simple, strict, direct, clean lines and shapes, with the church facing the sky high bell tower, dome-topped umbrella embodies the power of God. The external decoration of the temple modest, low-key, but this compensates for the plainness of its monumental scale, and it is these qualities that make the construction of a very impressive and memorable.

Alternative detail clocks are set above the main entrance to the bell tower. These clocks were made in Munich in the early 19th century, and to this day they regularly follow the inexorable passage of time. By the architectural complex of the Church of the Assumption, and is a sculpture depicting the Virgin and Child in her arms, installed on the right side in front. This delightful, soothing sculpture symbolizes prosperity for the citizens and good at her feet are always flowers.
