Hinge Petrus (Peter the professor Brovka) - the outstanding Belarusian writer, poet and statesman. The professor Peter was born June 12, 1905 to a peasant family. He has come a long way from a peasant boy, graduated from the parish school until the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the founder and chief editor of the Belarusian Soviet Encyclopedia.

An energetic, principled, honest and assertive in life, Peter wrote Brovka surprisingly soft and lyrical poetry. How it came to the muse, he did not realize what openly admitted in his poems. Petrus Brovka published numerous books of poetry, poems, several novels. The titles themselves say about their beautiful and noble content: "To the native shores", "The arrival of the hero", "Ways of Borovo", "Nagy-Nadeyka."

In 1980, after the death of the writer, according to the Decision of the Council of Ministers on July 10, 1980 № 256 "On perpetuation the memory of the national poet of the Byelorussian SSR PW Brovki (Petra Brovki)" in his apartment in Minsk was created State Literary Museum. The museum organizes not only guided tours, but also literary competitions for children and adults, on the life of the poet of the Belarusian poetry and literature. The museum is a great educational work among the younger generation.

The museum is located at ul. Karl Marx, 30. This building, built by architect G.Gaem in the late XIX century, in itself is an architectural masterpiece of Art Nouveau.
