Museum ship "St. Nicholas" - a unique attraction Krasnoyarsk. The museum is located in the city center on the embankment of the Yenisei. The museum was founded in 1970 on the 100th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin. As for the ship, he has more than 100 years and today it is a unique monument of history and technology.

The ship was built in 1886 with funding from a large Siberian gold mines Vasilevsky Sibiryakov. He was laid in the city of Krasnoyarsk and tuernaya winch and two steam engines were produced in the Swedish Gothenburg. From Sweden to Tomsk them delivered by train, and from Tomsk to Krasnoyarsk on carts. Iron body and four boiler steamer booked in Tyumen. Assembled and consecrated in Krasnoyarsk ship was named in honor of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and travelers.

At the time, "St. Nicholas" was the most high-speed ship on the Yenisei. He shuttled between Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei and Minusinsk. From 1907 to 1927, the captain of the ship was NF Sivkov. The team consisted of 12 people.

In June 1891 this ship went from Berezovka to the city of Krasnoyarsk returning from a trip Tsarevich Nicholas, and in 1897, the same steamer brought in Minusinsk VI Ulyanov. Today, the ship cabins can see wax figures of all its historical figures.

In 1927, the ship was decommissioned, after which his body altered in a shipping barge after - in the oil loading. In addition, the ship several times changed its name. In 1960, the body of the steamer put in Podtesovo, the so-called steamship cemetery.

In 1968-1970, thanks to the promotion of veterans of the Yenisei Shipping Company, the ship was restored at the shipyard in Krasnoyarsk. Inside placed collection telling about the activities of VI Lenin in exile, as well as his presence on the ship. Currently, the museum exposition is located in an area of ​​300 sq.m.
