   Photo: Florian's Gate

Florian's Gate, was first mentioned in 1307, dedicated to St. Florian, the patron of Krakow. Entrance gates are arranged in a square in terms of boulders tower, built at the beginning of the XIV century and topped with whimsical finial form of the XVI century. Inside the lancet portal towers - shrines to the Virgin Mary. On its northern facade - heraldic eagle sculpted figure of Jan Matejko; on the south - baroque relief depicting St. Florian, who was revered as a protector and fire.
