Museum of Aeronautics in Kotka is located in a hangar near the airport Kymi runway. Because of the flying club "Karhula," 15 presented in the museum aircraft, including rare, are in working order.
Fighter "Gloucester Gontlet" - the only aircraft in the world since World War II, a fully serviceable and still flies several times a year. The collection also constitute a light attack aircraft, supersonic fighter-bomber, glider, single miniature helicopter and others.
Right from the museum, passing next to the runway, soar skyward small private planes. Near the monument to military pilots who died during the Second World War.
The museum is open from May to September. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed for the maintenance and development of the museum.
