The old town of Kos was destroyed by an earthquake in 1933, but the elements exposed a lot of antiquities. For example, the Ancient Agora - it ruins from different eras, from the ancient city to the Byzantine ruins. Here you can see the temple of Hercules III century BC with mosaic floors, Arcade Forum over two centuries, the ruins of the temple of Aphrodite, and even the V century Christian basilica.

Roman House (Casa Romana) - building in the Pompeian style. There were 26 rooms, three swimming pools, three shady patio with columns. In several rooms the remains of wall paintings and mosaic floors. At the base of the building you can see the excavations of ancient remains of a term, and the main Roman road with ancient capitals. Next - Odeon (indoor Roman theater) with marble and limestone benches.
